PORT TOWNSEND – The City of Port Townsend Arts Commission (PTAC) presents the 25th Annual Angel and Patron of the Arts Awards October 3, 5:00 p.m. at the Cotton Building, 607 Water Street. The Arts Commission's mission is to facilitate public arts programs that enhance the cultural life of community residents.
Join us to celebrate Kate Dwyer, 2024 Angel of the Arts, and Tracy Grisman, 2024 Patron of the Arts, at the 25th Annual City Arts Awards. These awards recognize individuals, artist collectives, and businesses that significantly contribute to the cultural enrichment of our community. The Angel and Patron of the Arts Awards took a pause in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. PTAC is excited to bring back the awards to celebrate these two deserving individuals along with the entire arts community. PTAC Chair, Lindsey Royal Wayland, said: “Both Kate and Tracy embody the celebration of art in our community, we are grateful to witness their rich examples of creative expression and honor our newest Angel and Patron of the Arts.”
All are welcome to attend this free event, including an awards ceremony with Mayor David Faber, light refreshments, poetry by the City Poet Laureate, Conner Bouchard-Roberts, and a special announcement by Chair Wayland. RSVP to the event by emailing artscomm@cityofpt.us.
