Adams Street Curb Ramps at Washington Street
The City received $250,000 from the Transportation Improvement Board (TIB) for Complete Streets. This grant funds street retrofits that provide access to all users: bicyclists, pedestrians, motorists and public transportation riders.
The work includes the construction of curb extensions, ADA curb ramps, sidewalks, a catch basin, stormwater pipe, and preparation for raingarden installation, all located on the south side of Washington Street at the Adams Street intersection. The work also includes sawcutting, the removal of asphalt and concrete and asphalt patch.
This project was completed in February 2020.
The contract was awarded to Shawn Canepa Contracting (SCC) out of Sequim, WA.

February 3, 2020
The project is complete. Associated striping will be installed when the road surface temperature is warmer, sometime in the Spring.
January 21, 2020
The Contractor paved at the intersection of Adams St. and Washington St. on Monday, January 20. The project should be fully complete by the end of the week.
January 17, 2020
The focus for this week has been pouring concrete. As part of this project, Lakeside Industries, Inc. will be paving at the intersection of Adams Street and Washington Street on Monday January 20. Paving will start around 10:30 am and continue until 1:00 pm. Washington Street will be open for two-way traffic. Adams Street will be open with one lane. All sidewalks will be open. The project hopes to be concluded early next week.
January 10, 2020
Curb will be poured on Monday, January 13. This project is scheduled for completion on January 17.
January 2, 2020
The Contractor has completed demolition. Next week they will start setting catch basins and the subgrade for the sidewalk.
December 6, 2019
Construction will begin on January 2, 2020.
