It is a steeply sloping site that features a stairway with landings, benches, and low maintenance landscaping.
History:
According to City Council minutes (21 January 1986), a group called ‘Trees for Port Townsend’ intended “to give the stairs constructed on Tyler St. and the street trees downtown” to the City of Port Townsend. In 986, The Tyler Street Stairs were first included in the Park Plan inventory.
